"UMNO conspires the Sex Scandal with fertilizer deal as bribery !"

Bodyguard: Fertiliser brought 'Datuk T' together

A bodyguard connects the dots between a physiotherapist for VIPs, a Risda top official and an ex-senator who calls themselves 'Datuk T'.

Claims made by a bodyguard to late deputy home minister Megat Junid Megat Ayob have provided clues on the links between three individuals involved in the screening of a sex video allegedly involving a senior opposition leader.

Speaking to reporters today, cop-turned-bodyguard Mohmad Mahti Abdul Rahim, 53, claims that the main link between the three - who dubbed themselves as 'Datuk T' or 'Datuk Trio' - is fertiliser.

He explained that businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah owns a fertiliser business, Aman Agroprenuers Sdn Bhd, based in Naka, Kedah and it is supplying fertiliser to the Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority (Risda).

Mahti alleged that Eskay had sought the help of the Risda chairperson, who happens to be former Malacca chief minister Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik, to secure a fertiliser deal.

According to a Aman Agroprenuers business card shown by the Mahti, Shuib Lazim, an ex-senator, is the company's advisor. A check on the company's website lists Eskay's phone number and contact details.

(While Mahti allowed Malaysiakini to sight both sides of the business card, he refused to allow the underside of the card to be photograph to protect the identities of certain individuals.)

Mahti said that he came to know about Eskay's relationship with Risda after being approached in January to lobby a top official at the Federal Land Consolidation and Rehabilitation Authority (Felcra).

He claims that Eskay wants to also secure deals to supply his fertiliser to Felcra. Mahti said that he was uncomfortable with the arrangement and pulled out.

Physiotherapist for VIPs

Mahti also claims that he had introduced Eskay, then a physiotherapist for the Sidek brothers in the national badminton team, to his then boss Megat Junid back in 1996 when the latter needed therapy.

Following this, Megat Junid introduced Eskay to then premier Dr Mahathir Mohamad and his then deputy Anwar Ibrahim who required therapy for horseback riding-related injuries.

“It was then that he became friends with (these people) and he often claims that Mahathir treats him like his son and that Anwar is like his brother.

“It's true that he often visited Megat Junid at (the latter's) home. (Eskay) claimed Megat Junid was like a father to him but he did not visit Megat Junid even once when he was sick for a year.

“It really saddened me,” said the man who served the deputy minister for 16 years.

“Whether the video is authentic or not, I don't know. But what is happening now is blackmail.”

Mahti had also testified for Eskay in the latter's suit against Merong Mahawangsa Sdn Bhd for breach of contract.

Eskay is suing Merong Mahawangsa for RM20 million allegedly owed to him for lobbying government officials for the contract for the 'crooked bridge' project. - Malaysiakini

Police: Dog defecating in yard leads to shooting

MISSISSIPPI: An argument between two armed neighbors over a dog and its feces escalated to a shootout in rural Mississippi, sending one neighbor to the hospital with injuries from shotgun pellets and the other neighbor to jail.

Terry Tenhet, 52, said he was struck Wednesday in both hands, the shoulder, chest and side by the spray of pellets from shotgun blasts fired by his neighbor, Jerry Blasingame, 60.

The wounds are not life-threatening. Washington County Sheriff's Assistant Chief Deputy Billy Barber said Tenhet was angry at Blasingame because he thought Blasingame's mixed-breed dog had defecated in his lawn.

Tenhet says he was friends with Blasingame and only went over to his house to complain in general about the dog feces in his lawn _ not to accuse him _ and encountered a drunk and irate neighbor. Blasingame told the AP that they argued because Tenhet shot his dog last week and threatened to kill him and his dog ``over poop.'' Tenhet denies shooting the dog.

The New Unholy Trinitys Sex Video: Stop This Gutter Politics

The New Unholy Trinitys Sex Video: Stop This Gutter Politics

by Din Merican

It seemed so timely; the Sarawak State elections was announced on Monday. At the same time, editors and senior reporters from the government controlled mainstream media and also the alternative media were invited to a film screening by Dato T. The screening was actually a public display of pornography.

The New Unholy Trinity: Rahim, Eskay and Shuib G-Trio

And it turns out that Dato T stands for a trio of personalities comprising former disgraced Melaka Chief Minister Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik, a frustrated businessman Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and a misguided former Senator Dato Shuib Lazim from Merbok, Kedah, more like an Unholy Trinity. This Unholy Trinity was soon joined by other colorful personalities to chastise Anwar Ibrahim who is purportedly the actor in that sex video.

More colorful personalities came out to vociferously condemn Anwar Ibrahim of immoral acts demanding that he stepped step down for the countrys sake. The most notable is one arm of that Unholy Trinity, Tan Sri Abdul Rahim Thamby Chik. Another is the MCA President Dato Seri Chua Soi Lek. Lets just look closely at these two characters and think.

Sir Galahad Lim Guan Eng punished

Rahim was implicated in a statutory rape of an underaged girl while still occupying the office of Chief Minister of Melaka. To deflect his guilt and with the help of then Prime Minister , the young girl was portrayed as a loose girl who had sex with multiple partners. In the end, some youngsters were charged, the girl was placed in a reform home and Sir Galahad Lim Guan Eng spent 3 years behind bars for standing up for the girls rights. Rahim Thamby Chik went scot free.

Politik Balas Dendam enters Malaysian Political Lexicon

To this day, that dastardly act still stains the Melaka Chief Ministers office, literally and metaphorically. Literally, because at that time, reports had surfaced of seminal stains found in that office. That gave the impression that there were other activities that were carried out beyond just the normal business of government. It made the office of the Chief Minister of Melaka like a brothel instead of the seat of government.

Rahim blamed Anwar for causing him to lose his political office which till today he has failed to regain. While Rahim clearly used this opportunity as pay back time, many would agree with me that with such a background, Rahim Thamby Chik is the most inappropriate person to talk about character and morality.

Porn Star MCA President

Then we have Chua Soi! Lek. Th is former Minister of Health seemed to carry out his role as a doctor beyond just examining a patient. He behaved more like Dr Love and appeared rather proud that he did not do too badly when caught performing sexual acts in a hotel in Muar. That was why he was brave enough to admit being the actor in that pornographic cd.

Although he stepped down as Health Minister, that did not seem to matter to the Malaysian Chinese Association when its members rejected Ong Tee Keat as President and made Chua their leader. The pornography CD on YouTube which was widely circulated may, in fact, have made him a hero amongst the Chinese men obsessed with sexual prowess. Otherwise, how else does one explain his victory against the more sedate and suave Ong.

Ong Tee Keat is the Good MCA Apple, says Robert Phang

During his recent talk at Sooka Sentral, Tan Sri Robert Phang gave a very apt description of the two men when explaining why at that time he took out newspaper advertisements to support Ong . Phang said It is not that I support Ong Tee Keat. I dont know him very well. It was this simple to look at these two men: one is a good apple and the other is a rotten one. How can I or the Chinese people bite and swallow a rotten apple? Today, Chua Soi Lek is President of MCA, the most important of the BNs component parties. That is the quality of our political leadership today.

It is audacious that people of such backgrounds could now ride the moral high horse to demand for a royal commission of inquiry into the sex video. While the identity of the actors in the recent por! nographi c video are still uncertain, what is certain is that Dato Trio have committed the following offences:

a) Section 5 of the the Film Censorship Act 2002 provides that no person shall have in his possession, control or ownership of any film material which is obscene or against public decency and that no person shall circulate, exhibit or distribute these film materials, and anyone guilty of it can be jailed not more than five years or fined between RM10,000/- and RM15,000/- or both;

b) Section 292 of the Penal Code, which is similar to Section 5 of the Film Censorship Act but with a lighter imprisonment of up to three years, or a fine, or both;

c) Section 499 of the Penal Code for criminal defamation since it is to cause disrepute against the Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim;

d) Section 503 of the Penal Code for criminal intimidation since Dato T have clearly stated that they wanted Anwar Ibrahim to quit politics.

IGP Ismail Omar: Do What is Right

Given these clear provisions of the Law, I would like to see some action and genuine legal advice from A-G Gani Patail to IGP Ismail Omar. Already Ismail Omar has failed the first test when he opened his mouth to make this no brainer retort to reporters - What offence (did they commit), you tell me? when asked why the Trio were not arrested.

Last week I asked Ismail Omar to wake up and do the right thing. Obviously Ismail Omar needs some guidance on the provisions of the Law as to the kinds of offences that this case can come under. Granted that an IGP may not know all the Laws of the ! country. However, Ismail Omar is a law graduate himself and the Penal Code is the principal Law of the country for criminal offences. Thus, I find it alarming that the IGP does not know these basic laws. So, I will ask Ismail again- Please wake up, the Rakyat is watching you!

I would like to conclude this piece by reproducing the Press Statement by my friend, Anti-Corruption Crusader Tan Sri Robert Phang and call on our leadership Stop this gutter politics!

PRESS STATEMENT
BY TAN SRI DATUK ROBERT PHANG
ON March 25, 2011 ON DATO T Video

I had issued an offer of a RM100,000.00 (One Hundred Thousand) reward to anyone who is able to provide information leading to the arrest and conviction of one Datuk T for rumour mongering and causing public unrest.

Yesterday Datuk T surfaced to identify himself. Thus, the offer is rescinded. At the same time, I call on the police to fully investigate this matter and for the AG to prosecute the right party once an offence has been identified. Underlying this whole thing is the principle of justice and truth. No one should be maligned publicly for certain objectives- whether political or personal.

I made that offer because I had myself been a victim of such malicious rumour mongering and persecution. I am sure those who had suffered such venomous attacks would agree with me. Our Minister for Communication YB Rais Yatim was recently such a victim of false allegations of rape. There were also others amongst the top echelons of our leadership including being victims of allegations of murder. Thus, as a matter of principle we should reject such acts which would sink our country into the abyss of Gutter Politics as in the saying Do unto others as you would want others to do unto you. Islam also condemns Fitnah (slander) as in the saying Fitnah is worse that murder.

! The politics of this country is reflective of our mindset. Our leaders should be exemplary of how we should behave. If we are pre-occupied with perverse issues, do we want our future generation to do the same? Where will that bring our country?

The politics of governing should be based on the Rule of Law and not by the Law of the Jungle. If laws and conventions are not followed in passing laws, these are not just bad laws but also bad leadership.

Recently, a brave High Court Judge from Kota Kinabalu struck down the Constitutional amendment that permitted the Federal Govt to appoint Judicial Commissioners without consulting the YDP Negeri of Sabah and Sarawak. While the act of that brave Judge is to be lauded, that is also a reminder that our Federal Govt must respect and adhere to the promises made during the formation of Malaysia. Rights cannot just be disregarded or removed. We are constantly reminded of the Social Contract that has enabled the people of all races to live peacefully and harmoniously since our Independence. Thus, as we approach the Sarawak State Elections, I hope those vying for the peoples vote would be reminded that they would later be held accountable for all the promises they make during election campaigns.

I pray that there will be a peaceful and orderly state elections and I call upon all sides to act in accordance with the directions of the Suruhanjaya Pilihan Raya (SPR) which should also act impartially to ensure a Free and Fair Elections.

HUMBLENESS IS GOOD VIRTUE, ARROGANCE SHALL FALL, THE MEEK WILL RULE THE WORLD.

Video: The real Datuk T story

Where is the opposition's sense of morality?

Every UMNO or BN leaders with established morality issue leave the political scene.

Even Dato Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek resigned and left the scene but came back and surprisingly got re-elected. That is a something puzzling that only MCA delegates can rationalised.

Why are those caught Pakatan leaders and politicians getting away scot-free?

None have resigned from their post and left politics. Some still remain actively in politics and ignoring the public resentment of their moral standing.

Forget about trying to argue which is the bigger sin: Corruption or adultery?

It is not a case of either or but neither nor. Leaders or politicians with any of those weakness will have to go.

If one cheats on your own spouse or deviate from adhering to one's own value from own faith or culture, who is trust such person to be community or national leaders.

Caught in a khalwat case, Mat Sabu is still actively making a living as a popular PAS penceramah.

Elizabeth Wong, so-called victim of her voyeaur Malay toy boy but still an adulterer, is still busy in politics without any ounce of shame or guilt.

Lim Kit Siang's affair with one Mummy Foo has not caused a sensation yet. However, MP for Wangsa Maju have yelled "Mummy Foo!" at him in Parliament and he obligingly sat down and dare not to make any ruckus.

There have been many extramarital misadventures by PAS State Assemblymen and Members of Parliamant but all seem to ignore and even had Tok Guru Dato Nik Aziz protection.

Other than Eli Wong, there are lots of extra marital affairs involving PKR leaders. Tan Sri Khalid Ibrahim is one suspect. Why would he not dare make a police r! eport of the noisy snooping video recorder in his office?

Off course, the grand daddy of them all is Dato Seri Anwar Ibrahim? He was acquited on technicality by a uncommon occurance of Federal Court review but all judges still insist the sodomy event occurred.
Someone counted to say that 11 judges agreed Anwar did sodomise Azizan Abu Bakar.

There is still that spring bed evidence with 13 spots showing DNAs from Anwar and Shamsidar's semen. Case still not closed and can be reopened on new evidence. Police can reinvestigate based on leads from court proceedings.

Anwar and Saiful's case looks likely to establish aprima facie case where Anwar has to defend himself.

And now the sex video with a China Doll and lost Omega watch.
Why are party members, machinery and leaders defending it's sexually or morally wayward leaders?

Any UMNO. MCA and MIC leaders with any extramarital issues left with the exception of Dato Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek. You have to ask the MCA members for reelecting him back.

Before anyone try to jump and say UMNO also and Altantunya, we'll repeat again to those trigger happy commentators. Established it first!
Court record shows no link with Dato Seri Najib. Forget about associating DNA with Dato Najib Altantunya. As far as Saiful court proceeding is concerned, DNA will meanDiliwat Nuar Aljuburi by mid-April.

Karpal Singh would attest that no mention of Najib or Datin Seri Rosmah in court. Otherwise, Azrilah and Sirul will be scot free.

Abdul Razak Baginda admited all that needs admitting with respect to his relation to Altantunya. It is established that Azrilah and Sirul mistaken Razak's instruction "get rid of her" as kill her.

Finally C4 is accessible to UTK officers. It is more the ammunition storekeeper problem.

Check the court records and get conclusive facts. Don't listen to hearsays of those factually deficient but loud teh tarik goss! ipers un der pokok ketapang.
Even if you are to raise about Zian Zain and Najib, establish it!

There can only be one reason for opposition not willing to go for the truth: politics. More precisely, it is about achieving their objective of gaining political ground.

Let's read The Star report that shows how they played the politics to focus their political assault on crime of porn peddling through these legal proxies:

Lawyers: Possession and screening of the video a criminal act

PETALING JAYA: Datuk T's action in showing media representatives video footage of several sex acts, allegedly featuring a top politician, is an offence under the Film Censorship Act 2002, said criminal lawyers.

Under Section 5 of the Act, no person shall have in his possession, control or ownership of any film material which is obscene or against public decency.

It also states that no person shall circulate, exhibit or distribute these film materials, and anyone guilty of it can be jailed not more than five years or fined between RM10,000 and RM15,000, or both.

Criminal lawyer Datuk K. Kumaraendran said Datuk T (revealed to be Tan Sri Rahim Tamby Chik, Datuk Shazryl Eskay Abdullah and Datuk Shuaib Lazim) had breached the law by being in possession of the sex video.

It is also an offence to exhibit such a video, he said, adding that police could investigate the trio under this section of the Act.

However, he said police would first have to determine if the sex video was indeed obscene.

Kumaraendran added that the trio could be charged under Section 499 of the Penal Code for criminal defamation if it was proven that the man in the video was not Opposition Leader Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.

Another criminal lawyer, Amarjit Singh Sidhu, said they could also be investigated under Section 292 of the Penal Code, which is similar to Section 5 of the Film Censorship Act.

However, the penalty under Section 292 is lighter! with im prisonment of up to three years, or a fine, or both.

They can also be investigated under Section 503 of the Penal Code which deals with criminal intimidation, he said.

Criminal lawyer Sreekant Pillai stressed that police should be allowed to carry out their investigations without political pressure.

All parties should be investigated fairly. Politicians shouldn't point fingers and interfere, he said.
... blah blah blah this Act, this Section, this clause ...

In Islam, it is also immoral to shame and make public a person's weakness. How will that apply for a public figure and leader with many followers? By keeping quite and not exposing it, will that tantamount to abetting or in arabic, subahah to allow him to decive the public.

How about the act of zina by person allegedly to be Anwar Ibrahim? That is haram in Islam. It is an offense under syariah law.

Isn't there also civil law against prostitution? Naturally, visiting such a brothel or such illegal establishment is equally wrong and an offense under the law.

Why is the Pakatan leaders, followers, supporters, and proxies keeping quiet and overly highlighting the offense of the Trio?

The ball should be given a highly spinned return to Anwar's court. Soi Lek is right to say in this Star report.

Prove it was not you in sex video, Chua tells Anwar

KOTA BARU: Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek has called on Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim and other opposition leaders to cooperate with the police in their investigations into the sex video case.

The MCA president said Anwar, who has been implicated as one of the actors in the video, should come clean on the matter.

The matter is in the hands of the police and we hope they conduct the investigation professionally.

The onus is on Anwar to prove that he is not involved in the video and it is a golden opportunity for him to prove that he is innocent and give his fullest cooperation to the p! olice in the course of the investigation, Dr Chua told reporters after attending the MCA 1Medical fund-raising dinner at the Chinese Chamber of Commerce hall here last night.

Also present was Kelantan MCA committee chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ng Yen Yen.

Dr Chua said the video issue should not be politicised, adding that the people should leave the matter to the police to investigate.

Let's not lose sight of the ball.
PM: Truth matters most in sex video

KUALA LUMPUR: Datuk Seri Najib Tun Razak said validity and truth are paramount questions that must be answered in connection with the sex video allegedly involving a prominent opposition politician and a foreign prostitute.

The Umno president said the issue over the controversial video recording was among the topics discussed during the party's supreme council meeting here last night.

As a party which bases its principles on the truth, Umno wants to know the validity and truth which must be sought and not diverted to other matters, he told reporters after chairing the meeting at the party's headquarters at Menara Onn here.

He said it was vital that the truth be found, in particular through detailed and professional police investigations, including the contribution from experts in the field of video recording.

Najib said Umno had nothing to do with the recording and that allegations of its involvement was done to divert attention.

There are certain quarters who claimed that it is a conspiracy and this is just to divert the attention to the crux of the matter of whether such an act was recorded or not, he said.

As to whether the recording could have been doctored, he said such an act would be detected via detailed investigations.

If there were attempts to technically alter the recording, this would easily be detected. Experts scrut! inising the recording will surely be able to tell if it was doctored, he said.

He said calls for the setting up of a Royal Commission of Inquiry to probe the video is not one for Umno to decide, adding: It is for the Government to decide.

The complete news here.
Few years ago, this blogger had a teh tarik with few PAS leaders. They were told Anwar will not survive the second sodomy case and he has a serious morality issue.

They said they are aware of it and doing it with their eyes open. Hope their eyes are really open.
PAS have since lost their moral and political ground to claim themselves as a political party struggling for an Islamic because of their confusing stance and flip flop statements by their leaders, not too mentioned Nik Aziz's bad mouth.

They are neither seen as a Malay party for their willingness to be subservience to DAP and PKR and the dissociating from taking care of Malay interest.

PAS grassroots are embarassed to continue defend Anwar's immoral trysts and the leaders can sink and swim with Anwar, they are not anymore.

Between Anwar and UMNO, Anwar is the bigger evil to PAS's cause. PAS has visibly lost moral ground by defending Anwar. Learn it from UMNO, a moral ground once lost takes time to revive.

Like everything else, the truth will prevail in the long run.
When it finally prevailed and people is awakened, PAS and PKR could be history.

Risda denies involvement in sex video scandal

Risda rebuts claims that it booked the meeting rooms for the screening of the video for several journalists.

KUALA LUMPUR: Risda (Rubber Industry Smallholders Development Authority) denied yesterday that it was involved in any way in the disclosure of a sex video recording allegedly involving an opposition leader.

The Risda management in a statement yesterday also refuted claims by certain quarters that Risda was involved in booking and sponsoring a meeting room at Carcosa Seri Negara and another at Flamingo Hotel for the screening of the video recording for several journalists and other individuals recently.

We wish to stress that Risda is not involved at all in this issue, said the statement which was signed by its Corporate Communications Unit head, Halimah Abd Kadir.

Risda chairman Rahim Tamby Chik had on Wednesday admitted that he and two others were collectively the mysterious Datuk T behind Mondays screening of the sex video.

On Thursday, he and businessman Shazryl Eskay Abdullah surrendered the video to the police.

A study of two women: Wan Azizah and Rosmah

A study of two women: Wan Azizah and Rosmah

The PKR president, Wan Azizah Wan Ismail was quick to defend her husband, Opposition leader Anwar Ibrahim when it was evident that the latest sex video was to discredit and topple him.

I have gone through it all, this is just another one, said Wan Azizah, referring to past accusations of sexual misconduct against the former deputy prime minister.

Wan Azizah, explained that the allegation was politically motivated. She also wondered why the man behind the video, Datuk T, had also demanded her resignation.

I'm shocked that I was asked to resign. What have I done? asked Wan Azizah.

Wan Azizah defends her husband because he is the constant target of dirty tactics.

Just like Wan Azizah, the Prime Minister, Najib Razaks wife, the First Lady Rosmah Mansor, also cares about her husbands image.

Rosmah is fastidious about how she and her husband are packaged to the Malaysian public and she allegedly approves which programs can be aired on television. She rejects those which present her husbands government in a bad light.

However, there was one appearance three weeks ago when the First Lady had to defend herself, and not her husband. She urged the voters to reject the allegations and lies she claimed had been spread by Pakatan against her.

Rosmahs by-election appearance at the Felda settlements in Kerdau today was undignified. Her pleas to the settlers of Felda Jengka 25 sounded pitiful.

She said, Look at my face until you are satisfied. Do I look like a liar? I don't, right? Is she so nave to believe people will give direct answers to her face?

This was how Asiaweek described Wan Azizah Wan Ismail, the wife of the O! ppositio n leader Anwar Ibrahim: Emerging from the ashes of her husband's political demise, Wan Azizah Wan Ismail became a tireless campaigner for justice, transparency and change. Whether traveling around the country addressing crowds or appearing in court during her husband's corruption and sodomy trials, she became, in the eyes of the nation, a potent symbol of the reformist movement - and, equally important, of grace under pressure.

Malaysians are only too aware how Rosmah paid US$7 million for a centre-fold spread in the New York Times to promote herself and to be praised for receiving the International Peace and Harmony Award.

Wan Azizah is a politician in her own right. When Anwar was controversially sacked from his government and party posts, Wan Azizah was rudely thrust into the center of national attention.

After her husband was arrested and jailed, she was propelled to the helm of the reformasi movement that her husband had launched to fight against what he claimed was a corrupt political system.

Many doubted her ability to perform saying she was too soft, nave and inexperienced. But succeed she did and she kept the flame of her husband's cause alive. She cooperated with established opposition parties to form the Barisan Alternatif (BA) alliance that contested the recent general elections - the first time the government was challenged by a united opposition.

On the other hand, Rosmah has political ambitions but to the outsider, appears to want to get in by the back door, rather than contest on her own ticket.

She sidelined her husbands deputy Muhyiddin Yassin when Prime minister Najib Abdul Razak had chicken pox and received foreign dignitaries on her husbands behalf.

Recently, she travelled on her own, complete with entourage, to visit countries in the middle-east and Bangladesh, in her capacity as the First Lady of Malaysia. Her intrusion into politics and the manner in which she upstaged the Deputy PM and the Foreign minister have not endeared her to the pub! lic.

Wan Azizah has her own website as president of her own political party, whereas Rosmah, it was alleged, forced her husband to set up a website dedicated to her, dubbed FLOM or First Lady of Malaysia. After much controversy, and expense, FLOM was taken off the PMs website.

In the aftermath of the Japanese tsunami, Rosmah was allegedly telling viewers, that the disaster was caused by Japans failure to implement environmentally-friendly planning and development policies. The remarks were met with outrage and there were calls for her to apologise for making insensitive comments.

Last month, the turncoat Lokman Nor Adam spilled the beans on Wan Azizah and her allegedly expensive lifestyle. He claimed that Wan Azizah spent an average RM8,000 each on suits and that she had 20 pieces made annually.

Despite that, the First Ladys lavish spending spree and stories of High Commission and MAS staff, having to cope with her excessive spoils to ship them home to Malaysia, are legendary.

A documentary video posted on YouTube titled Rosmah Perempuan Puaka (Rosmah The Ghost Lady), allegedly portrayed how Rosmah treated her family and relatives and how she used black magic to fulfill her wishes and to gain power.

One doubts if Wan Azizah has time to feature in documentaries. However, feminist writer-scholar Cecilia Ng Choon Sim had this to say about Wan Azizah: She has come to symbolise inner strength and resilience. - Malaysia Chronicle

Who next after Christians, questions non-Muslim interfaith council

MCA, MIC & Gerakan.

Mini Dog Helmet

By Debra Chong
The Malaysian Insider
Mar 25, 2011

KUALA LUMPUR, March 25 — A fever has broken out over Putrajaya’s handling of the Alkitab row that appears to have split multicultural Malaysia into two distinct camps — Muslim and non-Muslim — as the nation readies for crucial polls in Sarawak, its biggest Christian state.

The Malaysian Consultative Council of Buddhism, Christianity, Hinduism, Sikhism and Taoism (MCCBCHST) issued a strongly worded statement today accusing the Najib administration of riding roughshod over religions other than Islam when it imposed conditions for the release of 35,000 Malay bibles seized from Port Klang and Kuching.

“This means that the Alkitab (Bahasa Malaysia version) is now considered a restricted item and ‘the Word of God’ has been made subject to the control of man,” it said, citing the Christian Federation of Malaysia (CFM) in the latter’s previous attempt to free the bibles.

CFM is the umbrella body that represents over 90 per cent of churches here.

In a series of news statements that started earlier this month, the Christian organisation denounced the Najib administration for defacing its holy books with the home ministry’s official seal, an act it said amounted to desecration.

“Does our current prime minister wield any authority? And if he does not, who does?” the interfaith council demanded of Datuk Seri Najib Razak.

“We also vehemently oppose the present line of action being pursued,” it said in solidarity with the Christian community.

About one in 10 Malaysians is Christian.

The MCCBCHST said the authorities seemed to want Malaysians to believe that the Alkitab conflict is solely a tussle between two creeds, Islam and Christianity; and affects only Muslims and Christians.

“After the Christians have been ‘fixed’, who next?” the MCCBCHST questioned.

The council — which represents five out of the country’s six main creeds — reminded the ruling Barisan Nasional (BN) coalition of its founder’s words uttered shortly after Independence in 1957.

“Let freedom be secured for all the law-abiding people. There shall be freedom of worship, freedom of speech, freedom from want, freedom of association, freedom of assembly and freedom of movement,” it said, citing first prime minister Tunku Abdul Rahman Putra Al-Haj.

“The political leaders definitely do not have a finger on the pulse of the nation. They are definitely wrong in what they are doing,” it added, in a thinly veiled dig at Najib’s 1 Malaysia slogan aimed at uniting the different communities.

The MCCBCHST further accused Islamic leaders of not knowing their own religion despite dipping their fingers into the controversy.

“In the face of what has been alluded to the Prophet Muhammad (pbuh) in the narrative about ‘The Promise to St Catherine’, it is highly suspect that the Islamic high officials in our country do not even know their own religion!” it said.

Prophet Muhammad was said to have made a promise to a delegation of monks from the monastery near Mount Sinai over 1,400 years ago that Muslims will always protect Christians and their way of worship.

An English translation of the promise as published in the Islamic web site, Muslim.net, can be read here (http://www.muslims.net/news/newsfull.php?newid=318549) .

The Christian and Muslim religious communities have been engaged in a tug-of-war over the word “Allah”, with the latter group arguing that its use should be exclusive to them on the grounds that Islam is monotheistic and the word “Allah” denotes the Muslim God.

Christians, however, have argued that “Allah” is an Arabic word that has been used by those of other religious beliefs, including the Jews, for centuries in reference to God in many other parts of the world, notably in Arab nations and Indonesia.

The tussle is still trapped in the courts after the ministry won a stay of the 2009 High Court ruling that allowed Catholic weekly The Herald to use “Allah” in its Bahasa Malaysia section.

The ongoing bible row started in January and came to a head last week after the home ministry stamped the two separate shipments with its official seal before ordering their release.

The Christian importers have denounced the Najib administration for the act, which they say is a desecration of their holy book.

Two days ago, the government backed down and offered to paste over the marked Alkitab with labels that simply read “For Christianity”.

In a media statement to national news agency, Bernama, Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department Datuk Seri Idris Jala said Christian donors have also volunteered to ship in a new replacement consignment so long as the importers agree to have the same words “For Christianity” stamped on their covers in font type Arial size 16.

“No other words or serial numbers will be stamped on the bibles,” Jala added.

CFM is pondering accepting Putrajaya’s offer and has said will give its decision after consulting with all Christian leaders next week.

With Sarawakians going to the polls on April 16, the twin issues are expected to weigh on the minds of Christians who make up close to half of the hornbill state’s total population.

Why are porn video purveyors and pedlars roaming free? — P Ramakrishnan

Jackass Field Goal

Right between the posts...

MARCH 26 — Why are porn video purveyors, pedlars roaming free? We have laws to curb the circulation of pornographic material. We have a vigilant police force to raid pornographic outlets and enforce law and order.

We have a judiciary that shows no mercy to those indulging in the sale of pornographic videos to guard the moral sense of the society.

We have a special section in the Ministry of Home Affairs (KDN), which vets publications and bans books and magazines which are explicit in their pornographic contents.

And of course we have Pusat Islam at the federal level and its equivalent at all the state levels who have been moral policing the rakyat.

We prosecute those in possession of pornographic material. We don’t spare those viewing pornographic videos even in the confines of their homes. Such is our revulsion for pornography that we spare no effort in curbing and controlling pornographic material in all forms – which is very commendable. This is why Malaysians are flabbergasted that the police have not moved in to take action against a businessman and two politicians who have publicly admitted to the possession of a pornographic video.

Not only that, they have even screened this video for viewing purposes for invited guests which included certain media reporters; the President of Kita, Datuk Zaid Ibrahim; the MP for Sungai Petani, Datuk Johari Abdul, who brought along an unnamed Umno guy; the former PKR member, Badrul Hisham; and possibly many others about whom we have not been told yet.

In other words, they are actually screening pornographic video for certain individuals to view in various places in Kuala Lumpur. It would seem that they were on a screening spree! Those who have viewed the video have all confessed to having seen it.

These characters calling themselves ‘Datuk T’ have even screened this video in a respectable place like the Carcosa Seri Negara hotel with immunity, spending RM1,350 for rental. Why would these Datuk T – who have openly and boldly admitted possessing and exhibiting the pornographic tape in their public utterances without any restraint — go to this extent knowing that what they are doing is clearly in breach of the law? These purveyors and pedlars of pornographic material are even conferred the respectable term “messenger” by none other than the Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department, Datuk Seri Nazri Aziz, who is in charge of parliament, which had passed laws outlawing pornographic material.

Nazri even seems to be suffering from a sudden bout of amnesia not knowing if there are laws prohibiting the screening of the sex video. Sometimes ‘rule of law’ is given a twisted meaning that we no longer wonder why we have become the laughing- stock of the world. The person — Datuk Shazry Eskay Abdullah — who claims to have been at the hotel where this ‘performance’ was staged with a carefully selected look-alike performing artiste — comes across in the minds of Malaysians either as a conniving pimp or a despicable director of pornographic video. It is difficult to believe his tale that he went back to the hotel where the video was filmed to retrieve the Omega watch and consequently stumbled upon the recording equipment and discovered the recorded video. It looks as if the video was lying there waiting to be discovered by this character! When he went back to the hotel to retrieve the watch, it is unlikely that the hotel management would have given him the key for him to go and look for the watch without someone accompanying him. It was such a sensitive room where sexual exploits were filmed. That particular room could not have been accessible to all and sundry. The hotel would not have taken such a risk. This would suggest that he was part of the syndicate that was involved in the pornography industry. He had a free hand to roam about in that room which was well equipped with recording facilities. He and the others, it would appear, must have been operating from this hotel and from this room producing sex videos either to blackmail the unsuspecting victims or for commercial purposes. This theory is something that is believable. After all didn’t Ummi Hafildah mention there are 18 pornographic videos in existence involving politicians who have been caught with their pants down!

Facebook ~ Have you watched this video about how they are milking our info?

Pretty scary stuff. The way Facebook utilizes one application after another to milk our private and personal info.

The following video is very straight forward and shows just what happens when those who get bitten by the Facebook virus end up disclosing almost everything about their personal life and itty bitty details.

The espionage agencies of the world would be very happily tapping in to the lives of billions of Facebookers collecting vital information supplied to them by those who are just too naive to know that whatever confidential details about themselves that they do not have any form of control over is gonna comeback and bite them in the ass, metaphorically speaking!

Really! This is no joke! Please stop exposing all personal details about yourself and stupidly letting others milk such personal and private data about you! Even Obama warned the world about disclosing too much about oneself in Facebook!

Here's another video that warns young people about posting sensitive information or explicit pictures that can and will return to harm them when they least expect it.

Once you press the Enter key and open yourself up to the entire internet, there is no 'Backspace' thats gonna be able to undo the harm you've done to yourself.

So please, be extra careful about losing control over sensitive data and info about your private confidential information. If it falls into the wrong hands, life will not be worth living anymore when you are hounded by the devil's spawn in human form.

Please spread this article to all those whom you care about and help them stop disclosing too much vital info in Facebook.

Chances are that you might just lose face when the global audience sees things about our own selfs that they should not!

Sex scandals you never read about in our media

Miriam Mokhtar, now writing regularly for the Chronicle after being enticed away from the fading Mirror, takes issue with the latest so-called sex scandal, and lists a string of unreported real scandals involving politicians.

That they went unreported is not unusual for Malaysian media, almost all owned and controlled by the ruling party or subject to repressive press control regulations and strict bureaucrat overseers at KDN for whom the ruling party’s security has become synonymous with “national security”.

For Malaysian history buffs, here’s your weekend quiz. Can you identify those involved?

By Miriam Mokhtar
Malaysia Chronicle
The ringleader of this latest sex video is Rahim Tamby Chik. He is the disgraced, former Chief minister of Malacca who allegedly raped a minor and then had to resign. The underage girl’s grandmother sought a DAP MP’s help to bring Rahim Thamby to trial. That just shows how much trust ordinary Malays have in the elected Umno Malays. The DAP MP was himself thrown into prison. Did any of the other Umno Malays come to the defence of the girl?

Perhaps, the following questions should be incorporated in the history curriculum at school.

  • Who was the onetime UMNO deputy home affairs minister, who was allegedly implicated in the murder of a young woman? He is just like a current serving minister who is allegedly accused of rape. The widespread gossip connecting this onetime Umno deputy home affairs minister with the murder didn’t do his political career any harm. He was ultimately named Domestic Trade and Consumer Affairs Minister in the late 90s although he lost his parliamentary seat two years later and retired from politics.
  • Who was the Chief Minister who had an affair with a girl who eventually gave birth to an illegitimate child? He also kept an under-aged mistress at a condominium in Kuala Lumpur. In 2003, he was also rumoured to be involved with the death of another attractive young woman was found murdered in an apartment in a Kuala Lumpur suburb. Although another individual was arrested and charged with the murder, he was later declared not guilty and no one else was ever charged. The inspector general of police, Mohd Bakri Omar, classified the case under Malaysia’s Official Secrets Act and no details were ever released.
  • Who was the non-politician but Umno mouthpiece who had an affair with a young girl while his wife lay paralysed in bed?
  • Who was the Chief Minister who eloped to Thailand to secretly marry his second wife?
  • Who is the Federal Minister who was caught with a female artiste in a Port Dickson hotel?
  • Who is the Federal Minister whose brother was arrested for drug trafficking?
  • Which Federal Minister had an affair with someone else’s wife and this eventually resulted in a broken marriage?
  • Which religious leader had an illicit affair and who now holds a prominent position in a very important government religious body?
  • Which Chief Minister had an affair with his sister-in-law who then gave birth to an illegitimate child?
  • Who is the son of the prominent politician who was implicated in the 2007 death of a beautiful Indian actress? The woman’s body was cremated almost immediately after her death.
  • Who is the minister who was implicated in Malaysia’ own deep throat sexploits and would put Emmanuel to shame?
  • Who is the current serving cabinet minister who is accused of raping his maid?
  • Who is the current MP who betrayed his first wife by marrying a young starlet? His second marriage was not blessed by a recognised … court official and he himself is reknowned for using gutter language in the Dewan Rakyat?
  • Which Malaysian Ambassador has been guilty of sexually exploiting women?

With ministers like these in Najib’s Sex Cabinet line-up, how could the rakyat trust the government, its courts, the police and its ministers? Very few of the privileged elite who make up the politically powerful and rich in Malaysia ever get punished.

Where On Earth Were You?

Today is earth hour and billions around the world will participate in this global and noble campaign to do their part at least they try, to save a bit of energy for our well being really.

It will be a tremendous sacrifice to those who need to switch that mutation stuck on them, their mobile or computer or the latest fad pads! But try we must as it challenges us to make sacrifices and feel what it is to be a human without the contraptions glued to our eyes or fingers or mind!

So during Earth Hour tonight 8.30 to 9.30 pm what will you be doing? Hmmm does making love during that hour burns the right kind of energy?

And while on this earth subject, the one that is consuming this part of Earth in BolehLand has to do with a soiled son affair with a certain alien courtesy of a Threesome expose of sex on a tape and what lies ahead for the accused!

Though the so called accused was not even identified, a certain opposition leader at once denied vehemently it was not him and had proof of where he was and what he did during that supposedly time when the act was taped!

It was the talk of the morning with friends on this BolehLand's latest 'I saw what you did last few nights ago!' The interesting bits of the conversations were:

What is this ole man trying to do as if he is not well known globally already?

What a perfect timing for this expose to resurrect this scandal just when an e*ection, opps election is pending even though its a small e*ection, the state election that is, it has got everyone's attention, right?

Where on earth was he if he claimed he had his finger on the keyboard twittering when it showed there was a gap the alleged boinking took place?

He must be a serial boinker sex fiend and on a 25 hour horny high needing to plant his presence when the small brother gets the better of his head!

The Model-T made Ford a rich famous man, while our three 'Ts' are going to be equally famous and perhaps richer too?

He really is a soiled son! of the soil which will surely make the other soiled licker a lesser crook right?

Told you about the danger of social media. When you voluntarily tweet your life to the whole world, they expect to see your reality life show live 25 hours a day.

Why didn't he also keep twitting or facebooking during his boinking?

Stupid, his hands were on the other pad pad and was probably face-boobs-ing at that time!

Goes to show that social media can't compete with natural tendencies right?

Not really, because I know of girlfriends and wife complaining and vice versa of the blackberry, iPad and vibrating hardware coming literally into the act at the moment they are coming hah!

But he could have asked someone to tweet on his behalf while be was boinking right?

But why would he ask these trio to come along if they were sworn enemies? Is he planning his won conspiracy for some political gain or garner public sympathy, huh?

Maybe these three share the same interest, remember one like younger girls right while the alleged fello is having a quarrel with his supposedly kopi boi, yes? They just like to boink and love the kink of being taped too, hah!

Oh they needed to come among because you need witness as one religion demands to convict right?

But why would he want the religious court to convict him? Shouldn't the court convict the others too for allowing a wrongful act to be committed before their eyes? So they all are just as guilty right?

Maybe the other two didn't get a chance to boink so they took vengeance?

How come noone go and catch the gurl and how did they know she was a pros? Shouldn't we also trace this alien unless it turns out to be another District 9 that happened at around 10 pm huh?

But the family claimed he was around?

Yes, around the corner somewhere and they could be lying right?

You mean about his kopi boi act too?

Maybe who knows only those who committed it know?

So who wants to tell they are dis! honest l iars?

Well one leader admitted?

Yes he did because he did it and the evidence was clear?

This one also clear what?

Ah but this one he denied?

So the question in everyone's mind is. WHERE ON EARTH WERE YOU during the alleged act?

Celebrate Earth Hour then and if you subscribe that making love during this blackout burns the right energy, make sure the phone camera, recorder and lights are switch off too, huh?

Dealing with inflation and capital flows

A QUESTION OF BUSINESS
By P. GUNASEGARAN

A delicate balance is called for in implementing the right policies and measures

BANK Negara, while releasing its annual report for last year earlier, zoomed in on two problem areas which could derail long-term economic growth – inflation and the inflow of hot money.

Both of these pose a potent combination which if not handled delicately and with a great deal of sensibility can actually cause economic recovery to be throttled, leading to a premature and unnecessary downturn in activities that increase income.

It’s a fine balancing act that needs to be constantly monitored and tuned to ensure that just enough is done to tackle the underlying problem without squeezing the availability of credit to those who need it to contribute to economic activity.

At the same time, one needs to be mindful of keeping the cost of credit at low enough levels by ensuring that interest rates do not climb up too high in an environment where liquidity continues to be easy.

An across-the-board increase in interest rates is most likely not the right thing to do now especially since its sledgehammer effects do not discriminate against any one and has the effect of pressing demand down across all sectors, even those where we want to see some growth.

As an example, there may be arguments that the condominium market may be overbuilt right now but to put a dampener across the entire property sector by raising interest rates would be the wrong thing to do because there is real demand for other types of residential property, especially medium and low-cost housing.

Thus, Bank Negara was right when it chose to impose administrative measures such as restrictions on third property purchases (where a 30% downpayment was required) to cut down on unwarranted speculation which was driving the prices of high-end residential properties up.

On the funds side, continued inflows on the back of a stronger ringgit and relatively higher interest rates compared to developed countries continue to play havoc with the financial system. Raising interest rates will only worsen things as it will attract more funds.

Thus, the doubling of interest-free funds that banks have to keep with the central bank from one to two per cent of deposits is an appropriate measure because it mops up some of the excess liquidity from the system. At the same time it is not at such a high level that it crimps the ability of banks to lend or raises their cost of funds.

Bank Negara has chosen to deal with the problem of rising household debt – housing loans, car loans, personal loans, credit card loans etc – by requiring banks to be more stringent in their loan approvals and raising the bar for credit cards.

However, it is not certain how exactly this will work out because history shows that when banks have too much money they tend to be lax about how they lend it – short-term loan growth is often favoured over long-term potential problems.

But what comes as some disappointment is Bank Negara’s reluctance to rein in the excessive margins that banks make on household loans, barring those for property which are heavily collateralised.

For instance, it continues to be ridiculous to charge RM50 in late payments for credit cards when a holder still has not even exceeded the credit limit for his account and continues to pay interest – and a very high 17% interest at that – on his outstanding sum.

For now, it would most probably be wrong to raise interest rates even if raising it would give a better rate of return to savers in the face of rising inflation because much of the inflation increase could be due to one-off price increases and may revert to normal.

If price increases continue, then it may be necessary to reflect the overall increase in costs to an increase in the cost of funds by raising interest rates as well so that savers do not lose out to inflation. That’s the balancing part which is going to prove to be very difficult to do this year.

But given its track record, one hopes that Bank Negara will come through with the right measures or mostly right measures as it so often had in the past.

The show continues — Lim Mun Fah

March 25, 2011

MARCH 25 — The more the sex video scandal is spread, the more corrupt the Malaysian politics will be.

Instead of the Japanese nuclear radiation crisis and the Libyan unrest, Malaysians have been concerned about a sex video over the past three days.

There is nothing impossible as Malaysian politics has corrupted to such a point where all conceivable means have been used.

As the citizens, have we ever thought about how would such shameless political means affect the country’s political development in the long run?

We have been enveloped in the atmosphere of moral panic. Should we sigh for the political unfortunate or join the hypocritical politicians?

At the moment, we are dubious about it as we can only use our unlimited imagination to picture the scene based on news reports as we cannot see or hear the video. We cannot judge whether the “protagonist” does really look and sound like the rumoured man?

To tell the truth, even if we have seen the video ourselves, can we be 100 per cent sure that he is the man?

Since we are not the person involved, how could we categorically determine that the man is not the man rumoured to be involved in the scandal?

Therefore, after the shock, we have fallen into confusion and do not know whether it is true or false. We also have no idea whether to believe it or not.

Like a bunch of fools, we have been placed in front of a stage by a group of politicians carrying their own motives, and stupidly watching the actors perform on the stage.

We are dumbfounded by the rumour accusing who the protagonist, director and writer are; the denial by Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim; and the surprising press conference held by the mysterious “Datuk T”.

I can only say that in the current era when anything can happen, it is better for us to get mentally prepared before we are hit by more shocking news.

We have to stay calm and be strong when another ugly scene is staged. Otherwise, we might fall into hysterical anxiety and rumpus.

This is undoubtedly a splendid performance in the Malaysian political history. We can see one climax after another, together with the cooperation from politicians and the media, Malaysia has therefore entered a state of collective excitement.

We can hear applause and laughte, from foreign audiences who are watching the farce that we are playing.

And the show continues... — mysinchew.com

The battleground is Sarawak, not Carcosa

'If it was the other side of the political divide, the three would be arrested the day the video was screened in Carcosa.'

Swipenter: The Datuk Trio have already admitted that they are the ones behind the videotape. So tell us why the police have not arrested them? The Royal Malaysian Police (RMP) is trying very hard living up to their reputation as a totally owned subsidiary of the Umno-led government.

If it was the other side of the political divide, the three would be arrested on the day the porn video was screened in Carcosa Seri Negara. The police can be ruthlessly efficient when they want to carry out their duties.

PATRIOT: This sex video allegedly of Anwar Ibrahim in intimate action is a classic case of some men being "more equal than others". Imagine, an Umno minister has actually got the gumption to say, "don't kill the messenger".

Following this logic, why then are blogger Raja Petra Kamarudin, private eye P Balasubramaniam and a host of other "messengers" hunted, while witnesses like Teoh Beng Hock die in the custody of the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC)?

Whether it is a political entrapment or pure sexual escapade by Anwar, the Datuk Trio should be arrested and charged. Justice delayed is justice denied.

Singa Pura Pura: If you have watched the Rahim Thamby Chik (RTC)/Shazryl Eskay Abdullah press conference, you would be left in no doubt that the all-consuming undercurrent in RTC's speech was about exacting the revenge of his lifetime. He wanted his pound of steak, rare, and with all the blood pooling on top and dribbling over. He had waited far too long.

Eskay repeatedly said he wanted the truth to be out, and that he had been used by Anwar for far too long.

Thousands of ex! tra-mari tal associations take place in our land every day, between married and unmarried men, with prostitutes and non-prostitutes. Who cares? Umno? RTC? Eskay?

For all his alleged imperfections and defects of character, Anwar remains the flag-bearer of the fading (but flickering) hopes of millions of Malaysians who want the Umno hegemony of half-a-century broken. The battleground is Sarawak, not Carcosa.

Anonymous_3dhb: Kee Thuan Chye, your article clearly shows what double standards is all about. While most are concentrating on whether they want the future leader of this country to be of good morals, irrespective of how he gets there, you are more concerned about prosecuting three fellows for a charge that carries nothing more than a simple fine.

Had it been the other way round, like the Chua Soi Lek tape, there was no call by you or the opposition to apprehend and try the culprits. This clearly shows that you are part of the agenda that the opposition has to reach Putrajaya, and of course benefit from it, and any sign of derailment of this agenda, you will participate in bringing all the forces down that are in your way.

The rakyat is not foolish, they can see all this, and more so when you are calling for the three to be prosecuted, rather than proving the man in the tape is not Anwar.

Ferdtan: If it is really Anwar in the sex video, do you think these three infamous datuks would play 'hide-and seek' with the Malaysian public?

Similarly, as in Chua Sok Lek's sexual exposure, the whole nation would be flooded with free DVDs in their post box for viewing at home if not for the prompt action and warnings by the police.

By not reporting to the police in the first instant, we know for sure that the tape is not genuine. If it is really Anwar, the police, who are not seen to be impartial, would gleefully spring into action to question Anwar; and would try to find some obscure laws to detain him.

Vgood: The way I see it, every new attempt they make from Sodomy ! I, II, t o this video scandal - who knows what's next - it will become harder to bite. Instead of demolishing the person they have intended, they have unwittingly strengthened him.

They should learn a little about psychology. When the picture of Anwar with a black eye was splashed across the pages of media, the seed was planted for reform because that picture reflected everything that is wrong in this country.

And with so many exposure of the wrongdoing of those in power, the momentum can only grow. People see the evil in those who are seated in power, not the personal weaknesses of Anwar, whom many admired for his courage to stand up to everything that was thrown at him.

At the moment, despite all his personal flaws, he remains the last bastion of hope for those who yearn to see changes taking place in this nation. At the end of it, the victim will eventually become victor.

Paul Warren: Kee Thuan Chye, you are obviously a captive of the kind of education you had, and hence your missive.

If only you had been subject to the imaginative BTN-determined education that our present students undertake, you would have been happy that the Datuk Trio should be heros. Ask your children's teachers and they will tell you so.

Dev: Two citizens of Malaysia have broken the law and are proudly declaring that they have broken the law by holding a press conference. Why then has the police not moved in to nab these criminals?

It's the same as someone stealing from a jewellery shop then holding a press conference to say that he stole from the shop to feed his village, which is poor. Does that robber get off scot free then? Nope! Because we have laws, and whoever breaks the law should be investigated.

If an arrest is warranted, so be it. Law and politics are two separate things. Law is above politics, it should not discriminate between a pro-BN and an anti-BN supporter, just as how it should not discriminate between an Indian/Chinese/Malay or any other race/creed.

These tr! io have admitted guilty under section 292 of the Penal Code via their press statement, by right the police should have swooped right down and arrested them immediately. - Malaysiakini

Perak now a police state, says Nizar

The former MB criticises the conduct of State Legislative Assembly sessions and the security checks that opposition assemblymen are subjected to.

IPOH: Anyone visiting the State Secretariat Building here when the State Legislative Assembly is in session can easily get the impression that he has accidentally wandered into a police state, according to former menteri besar Mohammad Nizar Jamaluddin.

We are forced to go through only one door, where we are checked with metal detectors and the police will seize all our personal gadgets, like laptops, video cameras and mobile phones, to prevent us from recording the proceedings, he told FMT.

Democracy is dead in Perak. The illegitimate BN government is using the police to stay in power.

We are forced into an atmosphere of fear by the presence of uniformed and plainclothes police stationed outside and inside the hall at every sitting.

Nizar is the state assemblyman for Pasir Panjang as well as MP for Bukit Gantang. He is also deputy chief of Perak PAS and heads the Pakatan Rakyat alliance in the state.

He also criticised the way the BN government conducts the legislative sessions.

He said the assembly had turned into nothing more than a rubber stamping office, strengthening the impression that Perak had turned fascist.

Most of the questions that opposition assemblymen posed during the previous sitting remained unanswered, he said.

Every sitting is a rush job of a few days, and democratic debating is virtually disallowed. Our microphones are turned off when we raise questions.

He also alleged that only selected pro-government media representatives were allowed into the second floor of the state assembly hall, where the debates take place.

Others are caged in a sort of fish! tank on the third floor to prevent them from following the assembly proceedings live.
